If you’re in the market to buy a boat, we’ve got one for you! The Henrietta III is for sale.
Earlier this year, the Henrietta spent a month in Norfolk, Va getting $100,000 worth of repairs and upgrades that included a hull inspection, painting and welding. It has since returned to Wilmington’s waters and resumed its tours of the Cape Fear River.
The company responsible for the tours says it has no plans to stop the tours and will not sell the boat until it has a replacement. Before the Henriettta III began gliding through the waters of the Cape Fear, the Henrietta II was the ship presiding over the dock.
The Henrietta III was built in 1985 and is a replica of a 19th century steamer. It is currently listed in Boats and Harbors magazine as a 518-passenger commercial 156-by-34 foot paddlewheeler.
