128 South is a beautiful and unique Meeting & Event Space located in historic downtown Wilmington. We offer an outdoor River View Deck with expansive views of the Cape Fear River Ideal for your next event!
Our open floor plan includes a 2nd-floor mezzanine overlooking the central lower level. This layout offers a particularly charming gathering space where each of your guests can truly engage in the event activities. We are large enough to comfortably accommodate a cocktail reception for 250 people but cozy enough for an exclusive private dinner.
The Terraces on Sir Tyler
The Terraces on Sir Tyler is a ballroom wedding venue in Wilmington, North Carolina. Located directly across from Mayfaire, the venue offers couples and their guest’s easy access to Wrightsville Beach.
The Terraces on Sir Tyler can host up to 320 guests in the Grand Ballroom, which is its largest indoor event space featuring a 16-foot-high ceiling and two adjoining rooftop terraces. For couples who want to host outside events, the venue has multiple treetop terraces, which can host up to 250 guests. It also has a bridal suite, which is a private space for couples, featuring a dressing room and a relaxing area for couples.
The River Room
The River Room is a 2,500 square foot event space perfect for your wedding ceremony and reception, rehearsal dinner, meeting, corporate event, or party. Our amazing views will catch your eye, while our exposed brick and rustic wood columns will take you back in time. We are the only waterfront venue in Downtown Wilmington that allows you to select the caterer of your choice and bring in your own bar drinks!
The Brooklyn Arts Center & The Annex
The Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews, located in an 1888 historic landmark church that has been thoughtfully and beautifully refurbished as Wilmington, NC’s most stunning event venue, can comfortably seat 160 for dinner in the Sanctuary and 40 on the exceptional overlooking balcony. The cathedral ceilings soar 50 feet above the Sanctuary floor and are draped with fine white fabric, backlit with a professional, state-of-the-art, LED lighting system, that can become whatever color your heart desires.
The arched windows are two stories tall, the walls are original brick and plaster, and 122-year-old stained glass is displayed like fine art. The altar sits beneath a 40-foot, North Carolina-pine arch that adds one-of-a-kind beauty, charm, and unmatched drama to the Sanctuary. A large stage and dance area complement the altar and provide a focus for your celebration.
Right next door is the Church Manse, the historic, century-old home of the St. Andrews reverend. The first floor of the Manse has been designed, decorated, and repurposed as a peaceful retreat and dressing area for the bride, her wedding party, and her family. Behind the Manse is our Courtyard, a large, fenced, private garden that can host 200 for a wedding or cocktail reception.
St. Thomas Preservation Hall
Formerly a Catholic church, this beautifully-restored, 1847 venue is located in the heart of historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Our exposed brick walls, stained glass windows, high ceilings and balcony loft make Saint Thomas a perfect backdrop for your wedding festivities. We accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to 200 seated guests. Our rental rate includes tables and chairs for all 200 and use of the facility for 18 hours so that you can set up and decorate all day at no extra charge. Our downstairs cocktail room and bridal suite are popular features, allowing you to hold both your ceremony and reception in one venue.
Saint Thomas Preservation Hall now offers catering through City Club of Wilmington. Our catering is full service with a variety of menu options available, or the option to create your own. Prices are available upon request.

It is situated between, the Lumina station and St. Matthews historic brick church on Wrightsville Avenue. This venue is conveniently surrounded by hotels, beach resorts, and waterfront dining, along the Intracoastal Waterway marinas. It can host wedding ceremonies, receptions, elopements, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners.
Events at Watermark Marina
Situated on 20 acres with a 480 foot pier on a private bay and a two-story clubhouse with expansive views of the most beautiful sunsets on the historic Cape Fear River, Events at Watermark Marina is available for weddings, conferences, corporate meetings, retreats, concerts and much more. The marina offers plenty of free parking, a swimming pool and spacious overnight suites.
